Sebulon Boerdery is another important shareholder, strategic partner and supplier of quality Rooibos to Carmien Tea. Sebulon is well-known for its potatoes, Rooibos, Dorper sheep and Bonsmara cattle stock. In 2008 Sebulon won the South African Seed-potato Grower of the Year. In 2009 the farming enterprise once again received an accolade as one of the country’s top three potato-seed growers. Sebulon also believes in the economic and social empowerment of its workforce. The farm’s management consist mainly out of farm workers and all are on mentorship programmes that help and guide them to grow and develop their business skills and acumen. The workforce and their families live in quality housing in their own communal town close to Redelingshuys.
